2025-Present: Strengthening equitable food system infrastructure and immigrant foodways in Guelph Wellington


This project illuminates the role and importance of immigrant foodways, aiming to enable more supportive and equitable infrastructure in the Guelph-Wellington Region.




2022-2025: Rexdale Community Hub: Community Grocery Market


This project involved the development of a pilot community grocery model within the Rexdale Community Hub (Rexdale, Toronto).




2024-2025: Unveiling informal food spaces: Strengthening equitable food system infrastructure through immigrant entrepreneurship


This project explored and illuminated the role and importance of informal food spaces with the aim of enabling a supportive and equitable entrepreneurial infrastructure to tackle food access and related health and socioeconomic inequities.




2025-Present: From public grocery stores to social supermarkets: How Canada can build retail alternatives to address the ongoing food price crisis


Public grocers and solidarity stores represent underexplored strategies for reducing the burden of food costs and food access nationwide. This project examines the range of grocery alternatives that could address Canada’s food price crisis.




2021-2022: Preparing for food security after COVID-19: Strengthening equity and resiliency in future emergency response in Toronto


This SSHRC Partnership Engage project collaborated with the City of Toronto's Poverty Reduction Strategy Office to assess how community-based organizations responded to the impacts of COVID-19 and determine strategies to manage future emergencies.
