Community-engaged geographer and interdisciplinary scholar whose research examines how food systems, institutions, and public policy shape health, wellbeing, and social inequality. My work focuses particularly on food insecurity, poverty, immigrant inclusion, and social vulnerability, while examining how communities, civil society organizations, and governments respond to inequities in access to food and other essential resources. I use qualitative, participatory, and policy-focused research to understand these challenges and identify opportunities for more equitable, healthy, and sustainable communities and food systems. My teaching spans human geography, food studies, social justice, community development, health and society, and qualitative research methods.
